The hood looks nice, the fit looks good too.

So to clarify, vent/hole- water just runs freely straight through it and on to engine? Nothing directs water away?

So, I tested out the vent while washing my car and not as much water got into the engine as thought. It was very minor and only on the topside of the intake piping. Intake cone was completely dry as well as belts.

Very nice. Wish it wasn't so expensive or I'd buy it in a heartbeat

Came across the video while waiting for mine, it was pretty good. Since I got mine, it's been in rain storms and I washed it manually without directly shooting water into the vent and had the same results. If someone is worried about their open air CAI getting dirty quicker or damp causing it to wear out quicker, they'd just need a waterproof dust cover for it and drive on. Haven't tried or heard of any automatic carwash results yet.

Yeah, the intake actually sits a good distance from the vent, so I'm not as worried about it as before. Still no option for a vent cover and I've tried different shops to see if they can render me something, but no luck.

Has anyone in Taiwan gotten a hold of the design and started manufacturing these yet? I've seen replica bumpers, side skirts, and front fender all in polypropylene but have not ever seen a replica hood other than the $800 one. Would think if someone like GoodGo over there was making them, the price would drop down to ~ $300-$500. Then again metal and CF are more expensive than polypropylene so maybe $800 isnt a bad price
