FDL/CAFD Description Missing
I coded an F30 today for the first time and all went well. I later decided to code some other options on the same car but now all of a sudden when i try to edit the FDL i have no descriptions and all periods for the folders. I know this is a common issue that people have when they set the launcher to the wrong chassis; however i have mine set to f30 which is the correct chassis. Any ideas?
I am using E-Sys 3.27.1 with E-SYS Launcher 2.5.3.108 and PZDATA 58.1 |

I ended up rolling back my VM and reinstalling esys. This fixed it but the same problem happened again after reading the file in FDL editor the second time. It seems to have been a problem with windows xp. I have tested it in windows 7 and now it works every time.

FYI, Windows XP is vintage 2001 and has been unsupported by Microsoft for years. Windows 7 has also recently been dropped from support. I use E-Sys with Windows 10 and so far, zero problems.

The reason you do not see any descriptions and only see dots I'd very simple. BMW has truncated all of the recent PSDZDATA files. To overcome this, Token Master has developed E-Sys Launcher. You can find links to down elsewhere on this forum & on Bimmerfest
Hope that helps! |
