Coding back to default

Could someone point me in the direction of best method to code back to default values:
a)the whole car
b)individual modules

If I have also VO coded i.e. 6NS , does that have to changed back first?

Thanks guys

This is what I read in another thread.
Restore Default/Factory
Connect => Read FA (VO) => Activate FA (VO) => Read SVT (VCM) => Right-Click on IHKA (the ECU itself not the underlying CAFD) => Select CODE.

I am not sure if there is an easier way but I would think you could just change the VO back to what it was and then recode all the modules you changed which should set them back to defaults for your VO.

Wouldn't that just recode the IHKA module?

Yes, you could do per module, which I thought he had asked.

Setting the VO back to stock content and then VO coding each ECU you've changed is the quickest and safest way. You can also FDL code without modifying the VO given you have a backup of your stock CAFDs. You load the saved CAFD file rather than reading from the car and then FDL code.

And for the whole car you have to Right-click on "Ecus" at the top of the SVT-Table and then code.
Then all ecus will VO-coded and back to default in one single pass.

It is only recommended to right click the top of the SVT tree and click code if vehicle is connected to adequate programming power supply unit and only the ignition (NOT engine) is running.

Whether you have to change 6NS back, would depend on if you wrote the modified FA to the vehicle. You can load, rather than read, and activate a modified FA's prior to VO Coding.

You would only need to VO code the modified ECU modules and not the entire SVT tree.

FYI: As a side, I would recommend using the word "Factory," while avoiding using the terminology "Default Values" because you NEVER want to hit the "Code Default Values" button.
