Hi,

Just wondering if anyone took the path to upgrade the base 6 speaker system? Just wondering if i can add additional speakers to the existing head unit?

Our head unit cant handle much more power. A speaker upgrade that doesn't cost $1000 US would be great but not available as of yet

the wires are there to install speakers and a subs but im not sure if the amp has enough power.
Luxury line cars has 6 speaker + 2 subs base (no HK upgrade) so im ASSUMING that you can buy the non base sub and window tweeters and add them in.

note: i've only check to see if the connections for the ubs are there which they are in my car(328i xdrive classic line)

i also got the part number for the non harmon kardon speaker whihc costs 180 US per. i guess its not that bad of cost...

so there wires are already installed? I want to add back speakers (behind back passenger seat) and tweeters on the front doors. I wonder if we can install a external non-oem amp if the head unit has pre-amp outs.
