Hello guys,

I have hu_entrynav and I'm curious if it's possible to code something to allow changing song with the steering wheel? If I listen deezer or internal phone songs, I can just next/previous with the idrive controller...

I never tested but it seems it possible with CD.

Are you listening to music through Bluetooth or usb? I think you should be able to do it with usb but for Bluetooth you need enhanced bluetooth for that. You will get song art as well. Not sure if you can just code it with your hu.

I'm using bluetooth.
So I need to code enhanced bluetooth. I'll try with bimmercode, I let you know.

If you use Spotify from the connected drive apps, it will work without EBT.

Isn't that only with the usb cable?

Maybe, mine is 2018. I have also album cover via bluetooth with Spotify but not in audio streaming.

Maybe that is why. I get album covers over Bluetooth but not Spotify. I think I have enhanced Bluetooth, I haven't coded it, but I have HK audio. Mine is a late 2015. I don't have such thing as audio streaming.

I just coded some lines with bimmercode (lines found in other post to activate enhanced BT).
I have now more things like "Office" (emails, sms...), 2 phone and some stuffs.

But still no luck with prev/next on steering wheel. I have "impossible" message displayed. Tryed with Deezer, spotify, and local song.

maybe it's not possibl on my 2015 f30

Did you try going first on the media menu of iDrive, then select Spotify? In my case, it connect automatically to Spotify, start p'aying music, but I need to select the app to have wheel controls working (if no I have also message that say « no entry » or something like that)

Don't have "spotify" on my media menu (2015 NBT Entrynav).
I only have Radio/Bluetooth/Aux. So i select BT and I can play music from my phone.

Is it not possible to skip track over Bluetooth over any other media source e.g YouTube music.

Can you only skip tracks via steering wheel controls for Spotify app?

You can also skip songs from the buttons of the radio. On the top right you have a large button with arrows to left and right.

Unfortunately over BT it's not possible from the steering wheel

Spotify will only appear in iDrive if you have ConnectedDrive.
