Question RTTI Status

Hi,

Sorry if this is a newbie question. Search didn't find anything relevant. I just got a new 2018 440i GC and wanted to confirm that I have RTTI working.

Per the manual it says: "The function bar in the map view shows whether Traffic Information TI or RTTI is being used."

However, I can't seem to see any indication of either in the function bar, even when I have guidance active.

Can somebody please illustrate what I'm supposed to see?

Thanks!

So on mine it shows it when I?m in the gps view. I can take a picture later. Both I believe come from radio waves and RTTI is only usually major cities. advanced RTTI is the one that requires Bmw assist active subscription.

Someone can correct me if I?m wrong.

Thank you, I'd appreciate the picture so I can confirm I have it.

Thanks much. I already have traffic info and dynamic routing enabled. I will check out the ETA box and see if it says RTTI on mine.

There is a map view that shows which streets have less traffic and which have more via green, yellow and red highlighting on the 2016 I-Drive. You can select the traffic view from the menu on the left. Also, the GPS may offer to re-direct you when using nav based on traffic or let you know if there's an accident.

Thanks. I believe I can see that, but I wanted to confirm I was getting RTTI info. I also believe that it automatically downgrades to TI (FM traffic info) if RTTI is not available/not subscribed.

Do you see the RTTI status info as shown in the picture above?

@[GarlicBread] I tried again today with active guidance and the status box only shows ETA and remaining distance. No RTTI or any thing else.

I have a new F36 LCI, with iDrive 6, so does anybody else with the new nav see this info?

I'll have to see if mine shows that next time I'm in my car. I know my subscription is active and that it will re-route me if the traffic situation changes while I'm en-route to my destination.

Do you know if this is also the case for the 2016 F30 models? My Advanced RTTI subscription ended a couple of weeks back and it seems like I don't get any traffic information at all anymore.
