Delete

I'm sorry there may already be a forum about this but I didn't see it.

What exactly does it mean to delete? I see everyone talking about it but not what it exactly is

to remove/replace

For example, a muffler delete would be removing a part of the exhaust that makes it quiet and replacing it with a straight, unrestricted pipe to make the exhaust sound louder.

Can be used to describe many ways of modifying your car, just need more context on what is being deleted

Yeah like the most recent one I saw was a pic of another BMW and he said "I wonder if he's deleted also"

Another use is xDelete which is a coding change to make a normal AWD xDrive BMW into a 2WD rear-wheel drive for sport/drifting.
