i wanted to know , is the in dash function not going to work?

Due to DME compatibility issues we do not offer and have no plans to develop an N55 JB4 tune for the X3, X5, or X6. The most powerful tune you can use for these models is our N55 Stage1.

JB4 support for the F10 & F30 is limited and does not yet include in dash features. Follow along on N54Tech for the most current updates.

Dash function will work eventually, probably by september or something. Right now you can plug it to a laptop and select the map you want (lets say map 2), and then using the volume buttons on your steering wheel, you could switch between map 2 and map 0 (which is the stock map).

Basically you can switch between the map you selected via your computer and the stock map on the fly until full dash control is available.

what upgrade u got in your car ? is exhaust sound change louder?

Just the JB4 and ER catless downpipes. Gives the car a throatier, sportier sound. I absolutely love it.

I am told you need a PC to connect your JB4 to your car. I only have a mac and am thinking about ordering a jb4 stage 2 for my 435 and installing it and setting it Map 1. So what do I do in this instance? If I don't have a PC laptop is it a waste for me to get a JB4 at this time?

Yes you need a pc ! Or a mac that has windows running on it as well I imagine. You could pick up a used PC for 100$ nowadays it might be worth it. Honestly the JB4 is the best mod for this car, if I was you, I wouldn't let this get in the way of you getting it !

Until I figure out the pc thing, can I at least install the Jb4 and get Map 1 to work without a laptop?

I'm not sure which map is set out of the box you'd have to check with terry !
