Hey guys, I just took my car in to have my brakes looked at (not related to the brake recall issue), and while my service advisor ran the VIN, noticed there was a water pump recall on it. Issue was covered under warranty and I had the car back same day.

I don't remember seeing anything about a water pump recall for the F30/F31, but just FYI, there is a recall out if you don't know about it already. Mine is a 2014 F31, so it looks like the recall is pretty recent.

Do you have the SIB number handy from your Invoice?

Or even better, post just that part of the invoice just to detail the repair.

checked my car on MY BMW on bmw.ca and my F30 335i has a recall. code is

Service Code
64 80 14

My vehicle has the same Service Code, along with the code for the brakes (vacuum)

mine has just that code. no brake recall. i assume the code is the water pump?

Yup! Service code 64 80 14 is the water pump only.

Is the water pump shared between the N20 and N55?

Only asking since the 335 and the 328 both have that service code.

Thanks for the heads up. I get that code as well. Mine is a 2013 328, built in June.

I am taking it this Friday to get my heated steering wheel fixed, so hopefully they can look at this as well.

Water pump or water plug recall?

I had two recalls performed on Monday with one consisting of having a plug removed from the bottom of one of the compartments because of water build up.

The grommet is located at the bottom of the right hand "units compartment" inside the engine compartment. SB 64 80 14

Thanks for the notice. I checked "My BMW" and sure enough I have the same service code noted for my 2014 435i xDrive. I have made an online request for an appointment to have the work done.

Sorry, to clarify it is to: "remove the water drainage grommet from the units com" as per my invoice word for word. My service advisor called it water pump recall.

Just checked my car on mybmw and noticed my car has the same 64 80 14 service code. I guess I'll get it checked out at my next service which should be in the next couple months or so.
