Beautiful E53
My new to me, one owner '02 e53 X5 with 124k miles. All major mechanical work has been done: Suspension, cooling system, engine gaskets.... just got a new battery & DWS06 tires. Repaired a sunroof leak (pita), and replaced the amplifier (need to code it in).

Nice. I really like mine it drives like a tank. One day it will be back on the road for good hopefully. I did the whole pano sunroof repair - not fun. It still moves great. But the smart thing to do now is cover it with PPF and pull the fuse.
I had a lot of issues with prior owner neglect and the m54. Most notably there were numerous vacuum leaks. You might want to check a smoke tester. There's a bunch of old rubber lines and caps back under and behind the intake manifold. We are on the xoupost.com forum see you there |

Love it! Looks like a nice x5. The paint looks to be in great shape.
Great advice from E36: xoutpost is a must to keep the e53 on the road. Guys over there have forgotten more about the x5 than I’ll ever know. Gird your loins! Mine was a daily for the past 3 years and did great, but it look lots and lots of time and money. To be fair I replace and rebuilt a lot of things that may not have needed it but which I wanted to upgrade, like the rear diff. |
