Predestrian Protection System sensors reset
Hi all,
I bumped the front right of my bumper this weekend, which caused my actuator’s to lift my bumper up. I didn’t realise the hinges were also one time use after the actuators have been activated. I’ve replaced all the actuators and hinges, but the warning about ‘failed pedestrian warning system’ is still appearing on my dashboard and computer. I read somewhere that the crash sensors on the bumper are single time use, so they will need replacing. My OBD2 scanner can’t detect any faults. Has anyone had any experience with this, or could recommend me a cheaper solution than buying a new sensor? I read somewhere that you can unplug the sensor, then recode the car to ignore the PSS. Any suggestions? |

Have you tried clearing the codes? Drive it and see if they come back. If they don’t, then your replacement fixed it.

I don't think this error code can be disabled, but I did see a video of someone coding the car to 'ignore' the PPS. Video is this one: Wondering if anyone has any luck with this situation or not. Thanks for your response |
