First spark plug replacement
Hello,
My BMW has done 125k km (around 80k miles). Do I need to change the spark plugs? I have no interruptions or any problems with the car. ![]() |

The logical time to do it is when they are being removed to get to the spark plugs, they say. I didn't bother to change mine though. I don't believe they are as prone to failure as some folks would lead you to believe. Unless your car has oil leaks or electrical shorts, what's damaging the coils? They're not getting clogged with burnt fuel like the plugs...

For the N55 BMW recommends plugs every 60k miles and coils every 100k miles.
