Here you can see the yellow a bit better by looking on the reflection on the wall or whats hitting the bumper.

Dig the yellow. Glad someone's still rocking them. I've kinda missed seeing them on the road.

Yeah, some cars call them cornering lights. My old saab had them too.

So what is the light next to the low beam for now? Did BMW found another way to save a few bucks on the F30?

the corona rings? xenons only have one light that is both high/low beam. the inner one doesn't light up. if you have the halogens it does.

In the E90 and F10, the inner bulb is use for the cornering light. I guess BMW found another clever way to save a few bucks by using the foglight as the corning lights.

I used aftermarket HID for all my fog and headlight for my previous cars. I don't use the very cheap HID but the one that is in good quality. Can you explain why you said you would never go back again? I am just curious to see what is your opinion.

doesn't make sense to me how the inner light would help in cornering. its still in the middle of your vision isn't it?

I know the outer ones turn with the steering so maybe the 328i with halogens inner lights turn as well?

The inner bulb is used on some cars for cornering? That doesn't make sense.. it will have to break through the outer light in that case... sounds kinda odd.

Either way, I know my old '09 X5 also used the fog lights so it's not completely new. I also seen other brands, such as MB, do the same with the fogs. The normal headlights also turn, by the way, so I don't think it's completely cheapening out by BMW (just turn slightly when driving on a straight, dark road, and you'll see the normal headlights also turn).

Question remains, if the inner bulb is not used.. then what the heck is it there for? :S

If the inner bulb is use for cornering, when the fog lights are on, you do not lose the cornering light function.

We are trying to figure out what the inner (what looks to be lights) do for those with xenons. I have tried everything, I think, to try and get them on.
