Hey guys,

I've struggled for a few days reading FSC from my f30. (2016 340i in australia).
tried SW ID reader(DE) also tried cic.
It got 0 byte.


Then I tried esys with psdzdata 4.32.12.
It got this error. also tried 0xDE, got same error.


can anyone please help me out?
there are two f020 versions, I tried both but got same results.

Yeah, I was using the other ones. (in red boxes)

For a start, there is no 1B cert in an NBT Headunit.

The problem is that you have NBT2 headunit - it says it there on Esys in the Base Variant field.

Given that case, and the year of your car, you can generate a map update FSC code if the headunit is ID4 (list menu only, not tiles).

Run the same job in esys but use: 0xF0 - zeroXFzero in the application number - if the unit is ID4 it will pull the FSC, send it to me and I will generate a code for you.

if you have ID5 then you have 2 options, buy a map update form BMW or install a set of fake FSC codes with lifetime map updates via USB.

EDIT - looked up your VIN, you deffo have ID4 NBT.

Loading the fsc file seems not working, it got an error:



then I copied the serial number(not sure it is a sn though..) at least no errors.


I got this file below when I copied the sn instead into the box but it looks garbled in UFT-8 BOM. I tried a few other encodes, no luck.


I think I can't upload files other than images, so copied the sn, is this helpful?

You won't be able to create your own FSC update code using that tool.

Save the F0 FSC from your car to your desktop - upload to Mega or Dropbox then PM me the link, I'll do the rest - no charge.

why I see other people do it so easy, lol (also saw another way is a usb tool which generate fsc file automatically once you start the car. it doesn't work for mine neither )

Here is your code: CH7ZFMUEE4GZQAHXAD7A - this is a lifetime Map code.

The reason none of those tools work is because they are not for your headunit, they are either for CIC or earlier versions of NBT, not NBT2 which is what you have.

You can only DIY if you have some very expensive software, which I have. There are no tools you can download for free from the internet that will generate the right code for your headunit.

I am actually also working on retrofit my SLI(8TH=SPEED LIMIT INFO), the map is for SLI too.(offline speed limit info when KAFAS not capturing, I can see I have the hardware camera based on some youtube tutorials, they says I only need activate it in ecu.)
In that case, do I need a combined fsc to make them both work?

You need a 7E FSC code to activate SLI - I can supply for you or you can buy from a main dealer and activate yourself or I can do it remotely.

It's a 10 minute job - are you sure you have the Connected Drive camera in the windscreen?

It's too late so I didn't start the engine. Not sure whether it works, but I guess not.
since it's saying certa are not accepted.


I googled and saw that dealer won't sell it as a standalone one.
May I ask how much it would cost if I buy one from you?
