Different auto shift levers? (Brochure page 4)

Anyone else notice this? The brochure page 4 shows different levers on the Modern Vs. luxury lines.. The one on the modern line looks like a DCT lever, while the one on the luxury line looks like the auto lever from an X5

I know there is no DCT being offered at least for now, but why are the levers different?

That can only mean just one thing:

The 8 speed auto is available in two variants: a normal auto and a sport version (see options list in the back of the brochure).

Just like the two automatic options in the 5 series the lever of both are different. De sportier box gets the 'old' DCT-lever, the normal auto the new designed lever just like in the 5series and 7 series...

As far as I know it's just different electronic settings....

The sport box will shift a little bit faster; but basically both trannies are the same.

Yep, plus only the sport auto has the paddle shifters on the steering wheel.

Best regards,
