Just installed Fortune coil overs yesterday with custom swift springs 9k ft 14k rear and got 8 camber,toe, caster bars from Megan racing and upper stress bar. We dialed in neg 1.5 deg camber up front and neg 2.5 in the rear with 1/8" toe in the rear. Car feels super planted with P4s tires 245 ft and 275 rear.

That seems like a mismatch for front to rear camber.... no more than -2.0° is really necessary in the back, and you want at least as much in the front. For track work, the rule of thumb for these cars is to have about 1° more front camber than rear camber.

Yea I needed it in the rear for the tires to clear. Currently running 275/35/19 and will go down to a 275/30/19 and take out some rear camber.

My street setup is OEM 437Ms on PS4S F:19x9 ET29 on 245/35 R:19x10 ET40 on 275/35. Camber is -2.25 front and -1.5 Rear and I do not have clearance issues.

My rear wheels are 19x9.5 et 35 so mine hang out 5 more mm. I'll be able to take a little camber out in the rear when I get 275/30/19's it's fine the way it is though. Gonna also go from a 245/40/19 in ft to a 245/35.

Anyone in here looking for a bolt-in Studio RSR roll cage (white)? I've decided to go with an Evo for my track car, so my 335 is our daily again.

I would have been, but I pulled the trigger on a custom weld-in rear cage... no going back now!

Good luck with the sale - and with the Evo!

I'm in Houston, and I'd take $1000 for it. It's like new.

The diff is good but not the best. Under braking or off throttle it can be tricky. The F80 can get expensive very quickly if you do track duty.
I wasn't aware of any of those things specifically, but I'm actually not surprised. M cars nowadays seem to employ so much 'tech' to make for a fast street car, which ends up making them a bit harder to work with for a track setup. And if you strip all the M tech out (diff, EDC dampers, etc.) and replace it with something better suited for the track, then there's a case to be made for just starting off with the 335 anyway (especially if you already have one).

To my point above, I recently drove the new F90 M5, and was so disappointed... It's the pinnacle of technology, but the overall feel was not enjoyable at all to me. Even as a street car, I found the performance characteristics to be far too 'tech-infused' - terrible feel in both acceleration and braking (like on/off buttons); and steering/weight transition were not to my liking either. While modern ABS and traction control systems are a huge improvement from older systems, most cars are set up overall to impress the average person on a test drive more than excel on track. My 335 became so much better when I swapped the EDC dampers for coil overs, coded out the eLSD and various brake assist nannies, etc.... and my next step is to get linear throttle mapping (same profile for comfort, Sport and Sport+) when I finally get around to doing a flash tune.
How do you code out the eLSD / brake temp protection nanny etc?

You mean the tpms temperature? I've never seen a brake temperature sensor.

I mean something like this (copy from 2 series forum for discussion these are originated from a guy tracking X1 35i):

These are all DSC => 3000 nodes.

Engine Power Reduction to Prevent Brake Disc Overheating (FLR)
?

Brake Fading Compensation (HPS)
C_Funktion_Fadingkompensation_aktiv_I
activ => nicht_activ

Hydraulic Brake Assist (HBA)
?

Brake Standby (EVB)
C_Funktion_Bremsbereitschaft_aktiv_I
activ => nicht_activ

Maximum Brake Support (HVV)
?

Dynamic Performance Control (FDB)
C_Funktion_FDB_GMV_aktiv_I, already nicht_active (likely owing to the fact that I'm RWD?)

Electronic Differential (AX_Ref_Diff_Lock)
C_Funktion_Differenzialsperre_aktiv_l
activ => nicht_activ

Is it possible to code out these in Bimmercode FLR / HPS / Electronic Differential or ISATA deep coding only?

BimmerCode didn't give me access to code these. I had to use esys.

When you were running the 18*9.5 what offset were you running and did you need to run much camber to get the 265 tyres to fit?

The wheels were ET35 Square and I ran -2.25 degrees of camber up front with a 12mm spacer. I had KW Clubsport coilovers and the person I bought the wheels from had Ohlins R&T coilovers and didn't require a spacer (the springs are different diameters). Hope this helps.

So thought i would share my excitement. I got into motorsport back in 2013 when I bought a new 2012 Toyota 86. Had a friend who did some track events so he dragged me along. I got hooked and shortly after got a Mazda RX8 that I converted to track duties. It was an awesome car and handled so well. But I knew i was on borrowed time having a rotary so decided to sell. Got myself an R34 skyline. This required a lot of work as it did not want to go around a corner! Ended up with 450HP at the wheels and every part of the suspension changed. Ended up being a great car but sold it as the prices went up and I didn't want a car worth that much used as a track car.

That leads me to now! was a decision between a BMW or a Mazda MX-5. got the BMW as I wanted a balance of power and rear wheel drive. Had a look at the 135i, 235i and 335i. Found a good deal and am now the proud owner of a 2012 335i.

Car came with some mods, ebay wagner rip off intercooler, VRSF charge pipe, VRSF catless downpipe and a set of enkei springs. It also had recently had the transmission serviced, the predicable cooler pipes replaced and overall was quite clean.

Have bought the following and will install them over the next few weeks:
-KW V3 Coilovers (Someone bought them and didn't use them and sold them second hand for half price. Decided for the price, these were good enough!)
-VRSF high flow cat (I hate the fumes from the catless)
-Ferodo DS Uno Front Pads (i have the 340mm front brakes)
-Upgraded 345mm rear brakes with DS2500 pads
-VTT Crank Bolt Capture Kit
-VTT Crank Seal Protector plate
-Koya 18*9 +30 wheels on order with some 245/35 RE71RS tyres

Into the future I am looking at doing
-BMS Intake
-BM3 Stage 2 tune
-H&R Sway Bars
-Msport front bar

Really looking forward to getting it out on track, first event is a local hillclimb on 21 November where I want to run it as stock as possible, so i can measure how the mods are impacting the car.

The car will be a track/weekend car.

Here is a very boring picture of the car as at today.
