Rain Light Carbon Diffuser - Rear Fog Light Wiring?

Hi everyone. Had my car for just a few months and already going to town on the personalizations. The information/documentation on the forums has been amazing and appreciating all the nuanced advice received.

I recently bought a bunch of carbon goodies for my car including a diffuser with center rain light. Rather than wiring directly to the brake, I was wondering if it was possible to wire to my rear fog lights (US car, will retrofit the switch to activate). This will allow me to run with the light off normally and turn it on as a rear fog light in inclement weather (or for photos lol).

I couldn't find much information on this set up, let alone rear foglight wiring where I could tap into. Currently I see 2 possible ways of making this work.

Option 1 - splicing directly into one of the rear tail light fog light wires.

Option 2 - wiring into the foglight fuse in the rear of the car (if this even exists) with a fuse tap kit.

Could anyone provide any insight on the rear fog light wiring harness or the fuses I could use for this application? Any help would be appreciated! Looking for a clean install with easy reversibility in case I go another route in the future.

Many thanks

I am aware that it’s not to everyone’s taste. At least I didn’t put M4 bumpers on it

Just more for the novelty of having a light. I got a good deal on the diffuser and might as well make it work!
