Thump from brakes when reversing ?
I've recently changed my brake pads and rotors and noticed a thump noise coming from the rear breaks when I reverse and stop (usually happens when I turn my wheel and reverse) anyone know why this might be happening ?
I went with Zimmerman rotors with akebono brake pads . Also I hear a small amount of screeching noise coming from the passenger side wheel at low speeds the noise goes away after reaching 15-20 mph |

I got all the above symptoms and more took it into a dealership they said it's normal, took it to an Indy shop they said the same thing. I took the brakes apart and lubricated every metal on metal contact and the back of the pads where they meet the pistons, the noise is reduced but not completely gone.
I'm just gonna give up chasing wheel and brake noises and just enjoy it as is as long as everything still functions like it should. |
