Norway is running out of ICE cars to tax….
Watch this space as it will happen everywhere - then it becomes pay to drive/cents per mile etc once the infra is there?

Same. I see loads of EVs every day, although safe to say the majority are still ICE by some margin.

Massive incentives for Norwegians to convert according to this article, no VAT etc. Also ICE cars get absolutely hammered for taxes. If the UK Govt started hammering ICE cars in the same way they'd be voted out pronto..the Norwegians however seemed to have embraced it.

Norway is an interesting case as it has a surplus of hydro power. Some of it they sell to us via an interconnector. Some they just waste by bypassing the turbines. The rest they burn off with heaters in the rivers.
The AC Schnitzer i3 only came into existence because Norway requested it. It's now our best selling conversion. |
