I might just pickup some mini gatling shrouds.

I think he's just talking about coding out the warm/cold diagnostic checks and specifying IS_LED=aktiv since you would be running LED's instead of halogen bulbs.

I had to do the same when i replaced my halogen DRL and halogen parking lamps with LEDs... otherwise, they flicker during the checks. And if the LEDs are not CANBUS circuit compatible, they will also throw errors on the dash

thanks ji99lypuff! and yes squidlyboy is exactly right. after installation, I was only getting the parking lamp malfunction, but i coded both drl and parking anyway.

I'd be interested in having you build a set for me as well. I've been considering buying an extra set of halogens to retrofit and keep my oem ones as a back up. If I sent you everything could you build them for me?

Been busy with finals last week, but here's CharlieVu's headlights that I've been working on. Finishing it up soon so hopefully I can post up a DIY right after.

Did you use the same projectors/shrouds for Charlies as you did your own lights?

It definitely would, but due to the headlights being so narrow, it's a really tight fit. You can see from this pic that the halos almost touch the top. It needs a little bit of space so you can adjust the light output

Nice work! The rings look nice! Isn't it a b*tch to cut and bend and sand? LOL. I hated the process but it comes out looking so modern/futuristic looking from such a simple design, and the DIY is definitely really fulfilling.

My only gripe would be that your projectors jut out too much. Have you ever though about doing this with the xenon housing?
