Best Modifications for F30 in 2019
So I just bought an Alpine White 340i and I want to do a lot of work on my car to make it my own. Everything started out as stock except I have made a few changes so far:
Vinyl Wrap in 3M Satin Frozen Vanilla Rear Carbon Fiber Spoiler/Lip M3 Style Mirror Caps Carbon Fiber Interior Trim Wrap Blacked Out Rims Emblem Color Change Front V/Cross Bars Wrapped Blacked Out Grills I have also purchased an M3 Style Rear Bumper, Front Bumper, Side Skirts and I will get a front splitter and fenders in the coming weeks. I want to start putting other mods on the car to make it sound better and eventually will put on a wide body kit, but wanted to car to look almost complete before doing that at the very end. I need advice on what else to modify performance wise. I'm not going to be tracking or street racing, but I want the complete feel and no I'm not going to just go buy an M3. I know they are way better stock than any mod I would ever put on the car. Now that thats out of the way; what type of mods should I pursue? Air Intakes and exhaust system for the sound. I saw a guy that had this bars that went across the engine block almost like it was for stabilization or something? I basically want the car to just look and sound badass even though Im not going to race it lol. Thanks everyone |

Perfectly reasonable goals.
Is your car still under warranty? MPPSK (factory tune plus M Performance exhaust) is worth considering while preserving the warranty. Money no object ideas: - Akrapovic exhaust - AP Racing brakes |

Geez - go Dinan before you go to BMW mods
Stage 1 performance kit! About same price and much superior. Check out their suspension and adaptive shock setting "shockware" mods if available for your model (as they are for my 335Xi). Maybe springs and bump stops also.
Factory accepts Dinan mods within original guarantee, but check with your dealer first on this if you use him for service. So far you have gone for looks. These mods affect performance. |

I’m also not a big fan of all the M3 stuff, do tires, suspension and HPDE. Just my two cents, take it for what it’s worth.

Counterpoint, do what makes you happy. If that's M3 style bodykit, then do it. You're the one who's going to be looking at it daily. I personally don't like the look of the F30 3 series M Sport bodykit. I think the 2 and 4 series look much better, so I opted for the M3 style kit myself. To each their own, you're always going to find someone who doesn't like something that others did to their car. That being said, if you're doing a widebody kit anyways, might as well get normal M3 bumpers and fit it to the widebody kit.
