Selling my set of factory BMW forged 405M wheels that came on my CPO 2015 335i. The wheels have 35k on them and tires about 1100. I removed them right after buying the car and installed some HREs instead.

F: 20x8 | Bridgestone Potenza RE050A 245/35R20 ($413.26 per tire: https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires...050A&tab=Sizes)

R: 20x8.5 | Bridgestone Potenza RE050A 275/30R20 ($396.73 per tire: https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires...0AXL&tab=Sizes)

Wheels have no rock chips, bends, scratches, curbing etc. one wheel has a couple small spots of clear coat failure. BMW refused to repair it under warranty deeming it "regular wear and tear". $4500 wheels new.

Asking $2000 OBO. These are pretty rare to find. Not willing to separate tires. Willing to ship at buyers expense, I have individual boxes!

Happy to provide additional details or photos, just ask

These are 8 fronts 8.5 rears correct? I have the 624's with the same dimensions. How did you fit 275 tires on them? Also, if this is for xdrive, is that sizing within the 1% threshold?

Yes sir thats correct, 20x8 and 20x8.5. I honestly have no idea why it's a 275 rather than a 255 I'd expect, that's how it came directly from BMW Southpoint as a CPO!

As far as X-Drive compatibility, I think it's more of a concern about the circumference of the wheel than the width. The total circumference should be within 1-2% of each other. These having a 30/35 sidewall would technically fit into that category of "safe". I used to have a Quattro Audi back in the day though, and personally I would not run a staggered set. Going with a square set allows you to rotate the tires and keep a perfectly in-sync tire wear and maintain that 1%. Eventually the rears would go quicker than the fronts and throw you out of balance on a staggered set if you not are diligent. Nice for grip though

Right, I currently run 255/35 on my 624's. The only issue I was concerned with is that 275 seems too wide for an 8.5! Also on the note do rotating, since the rears are 8.5, would rotating those to the front not mess with weight, even if the tire itself is the same width all around?

Yeah somehow it fits great! I was surprised myself I almost did a double take when taking photos of them, I was always under the impression it was a 255. As far as rotation goes I don't think the F30 can fit anything over a 255 in the front without camber/fender modifications, so you'd be stuck replacing rears more often. As far as other models fitment though, I'm not super knowledgeable.

Yeah they rode like a dream! Ironically I was just about to sell my HREs and see how good these looked with my suspension setup, but sold the car before getting the chance to. Roads are decent around here, but these barely have seen the light outside of a box let alone a road haha! Been boxed up since June of 2018.

DG20 had these installed on his F30 that was tastefully lowered/spaced. Here's his thread with photos for example in case you're curious: https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1444117

I'll check it out! I initially wanted the 405's but there weren't any around me at the time! Found a my set at a STEAL and went for those and love them. We have matching specs and everything so I imagine just the differing tires would be the only differentiation

I wish you luck on the sale! What's next for you car wise then?? If you haven't gotten one already

Thank you!! Those 624s are super neat as well! Both some very uncommon wheels to find for the F30s, doubt maybe people opted for either considering the sticker price.

I just sold the 335i last week because I found myself falling in love with some of the older generation BMWs. Always was a dream to own an M3, so I bought this beautiful Steel Gray 6mt coupe earlier this year:

I love it! Absolute stunner!! We will watch your career with great interest lol

I've been in the market for an e38 as a project car/grad gift for myself once I finish uni this fall. Super excited to get back in an older Beamer

Worked on an e32 for a little while and loved it, but wanted something slightly newer! And nothing screams Beamer gang more to me than that beautiful flagship

The car got a name yet?

The E38s are rad! I love BMWs late 90s / early 2000s styling. But no name yet, but god it's been phenomenal to drive! In the shop right now getting the subframe reinforced, patiently waiting on getting it back

They should. I have the 624's as mentioned above. Even though mine are square, the specs listed, rolling diameters seem just the tiniest out of spec of that 1% rolling diameter but since op mentions it was installed by bmw they seem to be ok with it

Amazing looking wheels

I love those 405M rims, the detail is amazing, here's a shot of them on my 4 series, GLWS:

I love to buy them immediately… but I am in Toronto… shipping would be expensive

Hey bro do you have pictures of the wheels and tires on the f30? I have the same wheels and want to see if they rub with those tires.

I don't have a ton of pictures with these wheels on since I removed them essentially right away after purchasing. But here is one I could find that shows the fitment the best. Definitely no rubbing issues whatsoever, even if the car was lowered I don't see this tire size being an issue with this wheel offset

Do you think you can take a side profile pics of the wheels with the 275 tires on? To see how the fully fit the wheels from the side? Thanks. and how much would be total cost to nyc? 2k flat?
