Steering heft inconsistent

Does anyone notice how the steering feel and heft changes day-to-day? When it is cold outside, the steering feels heavier (and better). On hotter days, I've noticed that the steering actually gets lighter. This is consistent in Comfort and Sport mode. It's been ~34F in Seattle the last couple days and my steering feels awesome!

For reference, I have a '13 328 Sport w/ OEM all seasons.

Is this normal or am I just nuts?

Fluids get thicker in colder temps, coudl be the culprit. Does the heavier feel stay even on longer drives when the car has come up to operating temp?

Its likely the resistance from the tires, I think the adhesive properties change based on temps and therefore likelier that they would be more affected than the fluids in the car. I could be wrong but thats my hunch.

That one is also a possibility.

Yes, that's the reason
