328d Problems with Swirl Flap Actuator
I'm having 2 codes;
2C3200 Swirl flap, plausibility: Mechanically defective (lever break detection) 264100 Swirl flap actuator position sensor, signal: interruption or short circuit to ground. A little background story is: I was doing the valve cover gasket and removed the intake in the process. I had already cleaned it the previous time I took it off and cleaned all the gunk, so the swirl flaps were functioning properly. When I put everything back together, these codes popped out. I checked the wire going to the swirl flap actuator and it seems like it's not getting enough power. ISTA says the voltage should be between 5V-9.5V, and I'm getting only 14mV to the wire. However, it randomly got 5V once, stayed for about a minute and went back down to 14mV. Also, when I try to reset the error codes, 2C3200 code doesn't go away, which is usually a case when something is unplugged or there is an electrical issue. Is there anyone know what might be the cause of this problem? Any help is appreciated. |

Hi, did you find out what was causing this and have you sorted it? Having the same errors come up after having a new timing chain and then a year later having the engine rebuilt after a bearing rod failure (was utterly devastaed)
