URGENT- Big problems with coding. I hope I haven’t stuffed it.

Hi. I new to coding my bmw. Last week I coded the removal of if the disclaimers and I was pretty happy with that.

Today I’ve had another go at it and I think I’m in BIG trouble!

I changed the icm module do that it defaults to starting in eco-pro mode, and while I was writing the changes back to the car, it complained of a timeout and said that it failed. I think my car may have turned itself off after a period inactivity and may have caused this. Anyway, when I tried again, it said it was successful, but the car is now giving me heaps of errors about tire pressure, assisted parking, traction control, all sorts of things.

I’m shitting myself now!

Can anyone help???

By the way, I’m using the esys vm, with a Ethernet cable.

You can calm down.
This is quite normal when coding the ICM.
These error messages always come after coding the ICM.
Normally, the messages should disappear after ignition off and back on.

Thanks. I figured that out after a while, but it was still pretty scary for the first time.

I also found after my changes that the trip meter and the date/time had been reset, but I guess that’s to be expected too.

I found that some of my changes have worked, but others haven’t. I’ll have y have more of a play around when I’m feeling brave.
