U must do a wheel alignment. When I first installed the springs, the car pulled to one side more and the steering wheel was not straight. Took it back the next morning and suspension centre that fitted them had to correct the wheel alignment. Any new wheels and tyre or suspension setup must have a new alignment done.

That's correct, Camber cannot be adjusted on the oem top hats. Camber does change with ride height tho.

I'm still curious how much camber is set lowered with oem top hat.

Looks great, t335i!

I've been reading about the "H&R's" being too short and, when paired with Bilstein B8's, causing the top hats to fall apart eventually... can anyone confirm if it's just the SuperSports?

Mate looks good. But you went Super sports, I was thinking just sports. So you get no rubbing now? I am using the original Msport tyres with M580s 19x8.5 and 19x9.5 but standard it sits too high at the front like they all do.
Hey, the wheels look great! Do you mind telling me the dimensions of the tyres?

Definitely on the agenda, considering I might track it more than I was originally anticipating. I've tracked a few other cars in the past, and brakes and tyres are a definite upgrade. It also makes the wheels look so much more better too!!!

Sure it does, I fully agree with you! Don't you think that stock 335i/435i brakes are not efficient enough? I'm having thoughts about getting the M Performance brake kit myself, both for the look and for the safety (not confident with the stock brakes when it comes to driving on German Autobahns)

These H&R springs seem so highly recommended but in the same token everyone I know who had springs now have coilovers, is this the case for some of you? Why is it some people say stay away from springs while others admire it? Coils seems like the way to go for pure enthusiast no?

Coilovers are expensive compared to springs. A good set (eg KW V3 set you back $3k) a cheaper set (eg ST, Bc or Bilstein still $1.5k), not including install cost.
Springs are around $400 not including install.
If you want looks - Springs.
If you track regularly and have a big wallet - Coilovers.

I'm on springs only and tracked it a few times with absolutely no issue (I ain't a pro, I do it for the pure pleasure of my love for Motorsport) and it rides superbly. Even as my daily driver, I'm satisfied with the H&R.
I've had many cars in the past, and one was a fully decked out race car with a rebuilt engine from Japan, riding on Coilovers, and that thing was too harsh for a DD (Adjustable but Still too hard)! but on the track, it's a useful must have.

I have the H&R Sport but I need to get these run flats off before I can really comment on the ride vs coil overs.

It's not necessary to have an alignment done after new wheels or tires.

Wheels and tyres or suspension upgrades cost +$1000, an alignment is around $50. Certainly worth it if your gonna spend that much money.

No need. The H&R are really good quality springs made in Germany. It's designed to Your stock shocks. Like I said earlier, ride quality is still great. If you're scared, and wanna replace the shocks aswell, then might aswell go Coilovers.

Hey Terminator,

After lowering the car on Supersports, was the alignment shop able to correct the front and rear negative camber to stock-ish specs?

Hi Everyone,

I recently got a 2014 335i xDrive M sport. I'm looking to do some cheap mods. I'm currently on 18" OEM RFT wheels.

I wanted to do install spacers and springs.... Looking to buy new 19" wheels next year.

Can anyone recommend the spacer sizes and springs which will work without any rubbing issue and still give a smooth ride.

Will do red calipers and ceramic coating soon.

Car is Apline White on Red interior

Thanks
Robin

Do yourself a favor and do not get springs. Get coil overs instead. Springs will give short term satisfaction but will destroy your ride comfort over time. You’ll come to hate them like I do. I have a 2012 335i and am on H&R super sports. Yeah it looks amazing but everyone including myself hates the ride quality now.
