That would be partially hilarious, it looks like the tow bar bracket is made from 12mm steel and is currently straight ish :-0

So body shop have stripped the car today - Good news - no frame damage, so replacement list goes as expected

Tailgate,
Bumper
Towbar
associated guff

Total cost not yet known, but they should have this tomorrow.

Car should be back with me in the next 10 days.

Back is still shit, and still need to get agreement of gtechniq to be re applied etc.

Jag is still a bit pants, albeit has a few redeeming features.

So the good news is the car is back and looking almost as good as ever, I have a slight niggle over the rear alignment of the tailgate but the body shop and I cant work out if there is actually or a problem, or that doesn't look right when you stare at it for long periods of time.

Total bill - Bit less than first expected but was £3500 +vat for the main repairs, which was new bumper, tailgate, and towbar, re spray the lot + £600 for the car to be polished and the Gtechniq reapplied.

I also paid £80 to get a small dent pulled that was the gift from some a hole who parked too close and left without a note.

I was supplied an XE in luxury trim as a courtesy car and frankly It was dire, the engine was rough it was noisy and it rattled and banged but I don't expet it has had an easy life and dull, oh how very very dull, I am so glad to have mine back

As for me - Chiro, drugs and Physio are keeping me working, but for a low speed shunt I'm disappointing with how badly it has affected by back and neck, its really got me down, but it was, at least until this evening, getting better so u know, time is a great healer and all.

So here she is, back to her formal glory.

Not bad looking for a grey estate car.

So whilst naturally I don't want this to happen again, I think they have done a good job and I am bloody pleased with having it back...

So whoever guessed the 4-5k ish mark gets a free MG tow hook cover if you really want it
