If you get from reputable seller, then no it will not brick. Note, they are designed to work on specific VIN, so not not use on wrong car.

Yes, it can be done remotely.
It is small file put on empty flash drive and plugged into vehicle for 30s.
Then, headunit is rebooted and speedlock removed.

Hi! I went thru the steps to code radio off with driver door open and it didn't seem to work. I went back the next day and hit Read (SVT) to get an error message when I attempt to Read Code Data on a green CAFD under FEM_BODY:

read CPS o.k.

File for "CAFD_ffffffff-255_255_255" not found! [C012]

cafd_ffffffff-255_255_255 means you corrupted CAFD. Now you must inject new CAFD into ECU and Encode it.

Connect => Read FA (VO) => Activate FA (VO) => Read SVT (VCM) => Left-Click on desired ECU => Click on "Detect CAF for SWE" => Select the CAFD from latest I-Level shown (bottom one) => Select OK => Right-Click on ECU (the ECU itself not the underlying CAFD) => Select CODE.

What do I need to code DRL for my F31 with oem xenons?
I have the ethernet cable thingy but no actual software yet.

HU_NBT 3000 Daydriving_light -> aktiv
FEM_BODY 3060 TFL_MODUS Tfl_s (0, A) or Drl_s (0, A, P)
In this case the "A" stands for Auto, but in my light knob I only got 0, P and On, does the "On" count as "A" or do I need to activate my DRL to "0" ?
So Tfl_s 0/A and Drl_s 0/A or just use 1 parameter, if so which one?

What else do I need to take into consideration? Is this all that I need to do?

tried to run the latest version last night using a virtual machine, didn't seem to like the IP address and couldn't correctly connect to the car, could someone send me the link to version that can be installed directly on my laptop without needing a to run on a virtual machine?

Is the premium launcher discontinued? I downloaded as instructed, but instead of be able to run ESys launcher, I need to request an activation code. But appearantly only V3 Pro is supported as of 2018. Can someone elaborate?

Activation Code for Launcher premium is required under certain circumstances, and it has been that way for a very long time.

Oh, I didn't remember. I coded our 2014 F34, but my parents acquired 2 new BMW's and I wanted to code them.

so ive managed to get everything installed on my laptop. Used Esys to connect and read and worked great. (got HU_entrynav so bigger screen here we come

Ive tried to get e-sys launcher premium 2.8 working, but i try to run the shortcut on my desktop and literally nothing happens. not loaded, no error.... Ran older version of launcher and this time it ran but go stuck in the token loop which i think is quite normal for older version.

Why wont 2.8 run? I've completely reinstalled everything but still not luck.... and run as administrator. Is there anything else i can try?

Hi shawnsheridan, first thanks a lot for the info and your support.

I already download and installed/configured and I've been able to coding a few things (M Performance logo at cluster, digital speed, start/stop disable by default, switch off unit when open the door etc..) but I'm getting an error with HBU_NBT2 module, basically I want to change from ID5 to ID6_light and activate the M animation on the ID screen. The error is this one:

File for "cafd_00001ef6-006_031_018" not found! [C012].

I'm using latest pszdata little version (4.10.30) and also latest version e-sys etc... by the way my car (F34) was updated last week at BMW dealer at part of EGR recall in the UK. I guess is the latest BMW software, not sure if there are a pszdata compatible with this software.

My colleague recently had his software updated at the dealer and now cannot code the stop/start to remember last setting
We have psdzdata 63.3 which Im guessing is now out of date
The error is cafd_000019cc-100_134_003 not found [C012]
the car is a 2016 420d

Is there a later version of psdzdata that will work ?
