I'd always drink beer first followed by the wine especially with food and finish with JD.

What's yours?

I uses to love Jack Daniels and Jim Beam, but lately I prefer Maker's Mark.

My desert island drink would have to be beer, though: cold, bottled, imported.

Knob Creek is nice, found Woodford overrated though. I prefer Wild Turkey to them both though. I used to like Makers Mark but now it sits on the shelf waiting for a guest to ask for some. I guess tastes change hence why I'm not drinking White Lightning anymore.

I try and taste as many cask or guest ales as I can when out - variety is the spice of life and all that twoddle.
At home, its usually a nice Malbec or whatever is left in the case , Jack and Coke to relax and watch GoT, Corona extra for spicy meals and maybe a shot of Absinthe for shits and giggles

Whisky for me. Speyside preferred. Not a fan of the lowland malts at all.

Have been trying Monkey Shoulder (3 x blended Speysides) but can't seem to get on with it. Glenrothes Reserve is a particular favourite.

Skanky Smirnoff for when I'm feeling thirsty

Never heard of Cheeky Vimto. I see you can also make Dirty Vimto, described on Wikipedia:

"The use of 'dirty' refers to the fact that this cocktail combines two drinks that some people regard as containing chemicals that cause notably rowdy behaviour."

My sociable drink is Gin, currently have a couple nice bottle of jenevier (Dutch Gin).

Also a Rum freak, I kill for good quality rums.

I don't drink tequila, not since I was 20!

White wine occasionally if it's a decent one, I hate cheap tasteless white wine.

Did I mention Rum?
Try diplomatico reserva rum mate

Best I've ever tasted

I have done a bit of bimbling around the Caribbean.

A brilliant book on rums is this one (needs updated)

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Complete-Gu.../dp/1572432055

As mentioned in one of the reviews, he runs the Ministry of Rum website.

Gin, sloe gin (home made), red burgundy, Malbec, hipster craft beer, tawney port (grahams almost exclusively).

For our 10th wedding anniversary we went to a rather nice restaurant to experience their (over priced) tasting menu. With the cheese course I had possibly the greatest tawney port known to man, it was so good I asked for a bottle. A few espresso martinis to round the meal off and I asked for the bill. I raised an eyebrow when I saw the bottle of port cost £1,000!

Some later research showed me that a non restaurant marked up bottle sells for about £300, it is really very good. We went to Oporto a few years ago and I bought it there for only £100. I digress, I demand to have some booze!

Haig is lovely, it’s blended to go with coke which is how I drink it, never go neat.

Before I started taking medication for life I was a fan of Nikka Taketsuru Pure Malt and had a subscription to world of whiskies.
