305 Forged vs Apex
Just wanted to hear your thoughts about two particular wheels.
The SM10s from Apex which were just released and I've been personally waiting for those to come out for a while in 19s. https://www.apexraceparts.com/wheels...-10-wheel.html After looking around a bit more I found 305 Forged and more specifically the ft108 version. https://305forgedwheels.com/collecti.../copy-of-ft108 Both are flow formed and fairly light. Based on Apex's announcement I think the 305 Forged might be a slight bit lighter. The ft108 have 9 spokes vs 10 spokes for the SM10s. Both seem to have similar shapes. Opinions? Thoughts? |

Obviously taste is subjective, but I prefer the look of the Apex, especially the center section with the way it looks concave and the exposed lugs.

For me, the wheels can make or break the look of the car, so I would wait on the next Apex group buy.

I chose apex because a brand like 305 forged is still new. Quality is still a question in my mind although they are good looking - not saying they're poor but I dont want to be the person to find out if they are bad

Apex is proven and trusted. Their wheels are also very sharp looking.
That being said, there are a few F30s with 305Forged wheels. Myself included and the reaction seems to be great. I haven't had any issues with mine. No bends, cracks, etc and they balanced well. I know some of Apex wheels will clear a BBK at 18 inches, I'm not sure if 305Forged will as most people have gone with 19s I don't think you can miss with either brand personally. |

I don't know much about Apex, I'm sure they are great wheels, but I have some 305 Forged FT107's and I absolutely love them. The wheels look great and seem to be made of pretty high quality.

19x9 et30 will stick out and extra 17mm from stock up front and 23mm out back. I was waiting for these wheels as well from apex but they focused on the f8x platform instead of the f3x.
