Yes they're identical down to the model number (BE B104). Only 2 things I can think of is. It might of came out of a 5/7 series while my cars a 3 series. And the amps manufacturer Date is 4 months later

No idea. Check these FDL Codes and make sure they are correct for your setup:

AMPLIFIER_VARIANT
AUDIO_SYSTEM

Checked my car with bimmerlink and amplifier has 0 errors, but headunit is showing 2 errors. Think my next steps going to be buying bimmerlink and finding out what those errors are. Hopefully lead me to my no audio issue. As I stated before, this car was a mechanic special so I have no idea what issues it had prior to owning it =/. Appreciate your help Shawn

IS this something I could possibly do myself with esys or would you also suggest taking it to a dealership?

I'm planning on getting down there and checking all the wiring/fuses etc just to be safe prior to making a decision of course. They say these are notorious for getting wet due to their location.

Thank you, Brandon

Hi Shawn,

I have a 2015 F36 420d. Which is currently the right combination of E-sys version and psdzdata lite?

I coded some things some years ago and I would like to retake the coding ;-) But what I have installed does not work.

Should I uninstall what I have first?

Thanks!

Thinking about getting into coding my vehicle. I’m in the UK and have a 2016 F30 320i. I’ve just ordered an enet cable…..what else do I need? Just esys and data files? Would someone be kind enough to point me in the right direction. Thanks.

Hi Shawn.

Reading through this you seem to be the man.

I replaced my valve cover, coil packs, spark plugs, and crank case vent tube. After replacing I have a permanant code that won't go away even with the battery dme reset procedure. Car will start and rough idle a few seconds at start up but then runs fine after just with no power due to being in limp mode. I believe it has to do with a vannos issue that was corrected with a service bulliten update.

Is ESYS able to do this? I already have an wireless OB2 adapter and bimmerlink and bimmercode which has an ethernet port.

No. E-Sys is Coding and Programming. You need Diagnostic Tool like ISTA.

Ahh i see.

Do you know of a good place to get this? I can find it online but if you have a recommendation for a reliable source that would be great.

I found a local shop that has one but I can't get in until two weeks out and the closest BMW dealer is 2 hours away so I'm trying to see if I can fix it myself and cancel the appointment.
