I think i hit limiter?on my pwg 335i n55 motor

So some context im a 19yo(18 is the legal age to start driving in South Africa so very new to the whole scene) first time sports car owner and did my first drag race, car has got bigger intercooler, charge pipe, down pipe, full exhaust, gearbox software and custom stage 2 tune….

So i did my little burnout to warm the tires pulled back put the car in sport+ in manual and launched it shifted to second with pressure and purely being overwhelmed i forgot to shift again car hit red line and felt like it pulled the power back once i hit that (literally for a millisecond and i shifted up right as that happened) the car feels fine now but im over paranoid and I'm looking for things that could be wrong with my car and my mind is starting to play tricks on me.

*so* questions is did i hit limiter or did i break something and how bad is it for the car to hit limiter if it was limiter

Note:no warnings or errors or anything popped up

It happens. The limiter is there to allow this to happen without damage occurring. Don't go around riding the limiter, but generally speaking it's not harmful to hit the limiter by accident every once in a while.

You probably hit the revlimiter, which caused the car to cut fuel to prevent damage by over reving the engine.

It's ok to happen every once in a while as an accident, but bouncing the engine of the limiter is really stressful for the engine and can cause damage.

I hit limiter 2-3 times on accident. One time i forgot i put the car in manual and "launched" it from a stop and i hit the rev limit so hard in 1st at WOT i thought for sure i broke something. Drove the car around listening for anything wrong for 10 minutes and had the same paranoia.

As noted above, rev limiter is there for a reason, and if there was no immediate problem, chances are you are fine.

The limiter is at 7k because the engine is designed for that speed. Set your shift points in xHP to around 6k and let the mechanics to the work (I cannot remember what is optimal with stock PWG - might be even lower)

This is how I blew my chargepipe. Forgot I was in manual mode and bounced off the rev limiter in 1st gear. Blew the chargpipe off the throttle body.

Blew the x3 charge pipe at part throttle taking off from a light.
