If you look at the picture from their website, you'll see it doesn't block the radiator much at all. Plus, at higher speeds this whole area will get pressurized with air, so it's negligible.

I bought that heat shield wrapping last week (just happened to be looking for it). It doesn't seem to stick very well to plastic, but it does stick to metal heat shields.
