Stone Protection for fog lights
Discussion Starter · #1 · 2 d ago
2015 F34 I've had two fog light lenses broken in the last 5 years. I live in Colorado where I drive I-70 daily and where the highway department uses larger than average aggregate for winter traction. Are stone guards available to protect these lights? Protective film is an option, but I'm skeptical as to whether film will prevent breaking a lense. |

I haven't come across any stone guards, other than Lamin-X. Anything along the lines of off-road grilles would probably cause too much beam scatter.

I'd try PPF. It may very well protect, as it softens the impact. If it doesn't, you seriously need an SUV for where you live... Never heard of broken fog lights.
I have put PPF on mine just to avoid them getting dull and "sanded" with time.
