Amp will turn on/off with radio like OEM.

I have this same amp installed in my car. I used a t connector and the amp fits nicely under the glove box section. The only issues I’ve noticed is when cranking volume up the underseat woofers start to crackle.

Would you say it's worth it? Does it make a difference? I will be installing it these days...

I think you can upgrade them as well. I've added the HK tweeters on the doors, they've improved the sound quality also. What speakers did you change and what did you change them with?

Yes they are upgradable but I wouldn’t recommend using that vibe amp to power them. As it isn’t a brilliant amplifier there ain’t much settings on there. I have upgraded the speakers to rainbow components. Front and rear

Where did you install the amp in the end? I removed my headunit but there didnt look enough room for it to fit ( I have the same Vibe AMP) . Was thinking maybe underneath the glovebox at the back. I have been quoted £100 to get it fitted so might go down that route if it def doesnt fit behind the stereo.

No room for airflow if its tucked down there. The Powerbox is class d but needs a bit of space around it and must be mounted correct way up or it will overheat and risk damage to components.

Has anyone upgraded their subwoofer with the Vibe Optosound 8" ones? And how do they perform with POWERBOX65.4M amplifier?
I've upgraded my front door speakers with HK mids and tweeters, also rear door speakers with 2-way Focals and it has massively improved the sound quality and volume output but now I need more and deeper bass.
I've been looking at some pnp amps and fount that Vibe one seems like an easy install without having to splice any wires.
I'm wondering if that amp performs well with vibe under seat subwoofers.

This, or something similar, is what one uses to accurately predict the performance of any speaker:

Vibe doesn't have them.

Fair enough. I actually tried to find some info but found pretty much zero to nothing. I found some about the amp and it is outputting 4x65W RMS which is much more than the HU itself. But I really don't know what subs could I use with this amp.

You may use any woofers that don't have lower than 4 ohms impedance. As for speakers with no spec sheets, the usual reason why they don't is that the seller isn't a manufacturer, but rather a distributor of Asian sourced products. They tend to have a level of expertise that's sorely lacking.

Ok, so looking at the specifications on those websites which one would you choose to pair with the POWERBOX65.4M amplifier???

https://vibeaudio.co.uk/product/optisoundbmw8-v4
https://www.audiotec-fischer.de/en/m...kers/mw-8bmw-d
https://www.focal.com/sites/www.foca...bbmw4_en_0.pdf

Or maybe I should just get some 2nd hand Harman Kardon subs?

No specs.
No more capable than OEM.
Goes lower than OEM, but the price is ludicrous. The Earthquake SWS-8Xi is better, at 1/3 the price, but it needs a 150w/ch 2 ohm capable amp.

What about the HK subs?

But it looks like the best option would be to leave it for now, save up some money and buy Match amp + earthquakes. I just can't get over the price of the amp tbh.

H-K don't list specs, and I don't have them to measure. They're 8 ohm, so if I was looking for used I'd get Hi-Fi.

Hello,

I have the POWERBOX65.4BMW3, the Amp doesn't go off with the car, it drained my battery overnight, I have it connected using the provided harness and nothing else.

Anyone can advice on this?

Thanks
