Over the past couple of months I have decided to go ahead and hold onto my FBO 335xi and take the build to the next level. I wanted some place to document progression besides instagram so here we go.. all comments and suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Been doing a lot of research on turbo and fueling set ups lately. I think my plan to prepare for this summer is to max out the car on stock turbo with the MHD OTS e20 tune + JB4 meth injection. Then use next winter to get a big turbo kit in the car and running properly. Just got the last round of performance parts ordered for the car that will be:
-CTS Turbo turbo inlet
-Turbosmart Kompact BOV- EM Dual Port VR9
-Evolution Racewerks Anodized TIC Pipe
-JB4 Controller + Bluetooth Module
-BMS Meth Kit with 3 gallon stealth tank and BM10 nozzle

The car is also getting the AAConcepts carbon lip and Mashimarho carbon diffuser with LED brake light put on by the wrap shop- I'm hoping they will be done Tuesday or Wednesday and will update with pictures.

No word yet from BayOptiks on the shipping for the OLED GTS Tail-lights. They were supposedly going to ship them out this week, hopefully they will ship out at the beginning of next week.

Update-

Picking the car up tomorrow! Ceramic coating happening first thing in the AM along with the diffuser install. Front lip is also not completely on but here's a sneak peak 👀

I am awful at taking pictures but I finally picked the car up today. Also flashed the MHD stage 2+ E20 tune and did some data logging. I think I'm leaning towards Pure Stage 2 for the build. I will post more pictures when I get an actual good photographer to take pictures of the car.

BayOptiks said the GTS tail lights should be shipping out next week so hopefully I will get those in soon and get them on the car. I also need to wire up the 3rd brake light for the diffuser and was planning on doing that when I put the tail lights in.

Meth kit, MAP sensor, TIC pipe, BOV, and JB4 have all been ordered or arrived so I'm really just waiting to pull the trigger on the PS2 and I should be good to go.

I will definitely dyno it and post some numbers at some point after I get the turbo set up all working properly. TTFS is around 30 minutes from my house and has an AWD dyno.

Little update -

Bad pic but got the GTS OLEDs wired up along with the 4th brake light diffuser as well.

Installed the JB4 and TMAP sensor and the car is making good boost ~22-23psi but crashing the hpfp- so it is time to get the meth kit in

If people are interested I will do a dyno for FBO + meth on stock turbo and then a PS2 dyno after I get it installed.

I think with the meth I will pretty much be hitting the absolute max of the stock turbo, right now without meth I am still hitting WGDC values around 85-92 before the HPFP crashes, so I think running 23-24psi on stock turbo for a VERY SHORT period of time should be pretty fun

Met a photographer after work yesterday and took some pictures! Updated them in the original post.

Super excited because I am picking up the car from the shop today, the meth kit install is complete. Going to try and start working on the injection, boost, and fueling settings via JB4 but there is some rain in the forecast unfortunately.

My goals for this current stage of the car before I put the pure stage 2 in with just the meth are 21-23.5 psi with good timing and neutral fuel trims. I'm assuming WGDC will be in the low 90s, if it gets up to 94-95+ I may drop boost down slightly. Not really too sure with AWD numbers but I know this set up should be good for 440-450ish whp range on RWD cars.

For those following I picked up the car on Wednesday evening from the shop. Unfortunately the shop only installed one of the nozzles because the tee fitting was left out of my meth kit, but I don't really need the 2nd one anyways until I decide to put the ps2 in. Did a bunch of logs over about an hour and a half and got up to around 22-23 psi on JB4 map3 (progressive WMI) w/ 70 boost add, 80 FOL, and 93oct, however above around 21.5psi the stock diverter valve really struggles to hold the boost and a small gap between target and actual was noticeable.

The car absolutely rips with this set up and I no longer get any throttle closure or HPFP crashes. I honestly love this set up so far and to be honest I'm not too sure why more people don't go the JB4 + meth route as opposed to LPFP and HPFP upgrades.

Also took some cool pictures yesterday after work. Next thing I'm going to do is fix up some small curb rash on the front passenger wheel next week and then from there I need to decide if I want to order the turbo or order new wheels and tires first.

Thank you so much man! My heart is telling me I need a bigger turbo, HREs, bags, another carbon front lip, and a green or yellow caliper mperformance BBK but my brain is trying to resist hahaha. A little concerned about the thought of running the pure stage 2 on the stock brakes, so that's not helping. I may knock out the last little items I want like carbon side skirt extensions and rear bumper side skirt extensions but that's really all I can think of that I want besides those big ticket items. Will update next when I finally commit and order the turbo

As much as I appreciate a nice set of HREs and bags, the finance major in me could never allow myself to do such a thing! But, I support upgraded brakes 100% as well as carbon cosmetics. Makes the car look much more aggressive
