No joke, i am living in Poland there is no voice recognition which can understand my surname or the place where i live, not even try to spell the street name.

Then you'll have to use the iDrive dial to select letters one by one with the on-screen keyboard.... it's... going to be painful.

Alternatively, if you use Google Maps (I don't really use anything else), you can search for the address first on your phone and then open carplay. You should then see that address in your recent search, so you'll only need to select it to navigate.

At least for Android Auto, we can pull the keyboard up on the phone and use that. Don't know if carplay has that feature.

Everything just works...automatic night mode switching, oem bluetooth connection for calls, auto launch, no lag. Super happy with the mmi now.

I agree with the post prior. Everything just works. No more echos since we are using oem bluetooth. What an awesome setup. Really modernizes my M5. Love it!

The biggest change is that this version will run on any device. It does not matter if you have an Andream, Carlinkit, RoadTop or Bimmertech device.

I just installed v2.0.B0.mod to my car, but whenever I start my car, music from spotify is not automatically playing after connected to Apple carplay is it away that we can fix it?

Use a shortcut automation > make the automation trigger when you connect to carplay then make it play Spotify.


Question for everyone: how long does it take for the carplay to load on the screen from when you unlock the doors?

If you were to unlock the door, quickly sit down and start the car up will carplay be running already or be connecting?

Yea I contacted BT and they said they're aware of the issue but there's no ETA on the fix :/

You will be fine now it's working again, you can update the software to v2 custom (or 1 of the later andream updates) you won't need to update the mcu again as you are now on the latest.

I tempted fate and tried to install the custom v2 software but it still just restarts my MMI and does not load the software. Should I try doing the "Force Flash Update" method?

Try updating to a later andream update first.

So my big issue with the Andream Backup camera was "Backup Lines" - I had to disable this option in the reverse menu for it to even show the camera at all when I switched to reverse. Not really sure why.

When you're using the MMI and turn Reverse or i push the 'parking' button, which interface comes?
Stock interface with stock lines and camera view or something china-made from MMI?
Or maybe i can pick what happen? I am confused a bit.

When you reverse, it should use your stock camera, if you have one. I'm not sure if it requires yoy to change default configuration settings as I had someone professionally install mine.
