Show us your amp installation

As we all love pictures and I'm trying to get ideas on how to install my amp, can anyone post pictures of their installations. Specifically where to run power & speaker cables, plus where/how to mount an amp.

I'm just in the process of buying up the bits to start on my F31, so any ideas would be great.

I will be doing a test fit this weekend I ordered the enclosure from Poland it arrived today. Amp should be here end of week. I'm hoping the amp will fit in the first aid kit area I prewired everything to there.

Yeah I'm waiting on the ASD harness. I already swapped stock amp for Bimmertech and prewired for a JL XD600 w/ Focal P25F.

Should I run the the main speaker outputs via an Audiocontrol LC2i to feed both the door speakers and the under seat subs, or should I run independent amps for doors and subs?

Built a 2 tier amp rack, and put it in the big storage spot in the trunk.
Bottom shelf holds the mObridge DA3, and Helix DSP-Pro II
Top shelf holds a pair of MMATS HiFi 6150 amplifiers.

I drilled a big hole between the battery compartment and the storage spot, to run the power wire.

I did a quick fit on the Poland sub enclosure - the quality is very very good and the fit is spectacular. The carpet is a dark grey and doesn't quite match but that doesn't really bother me. I'm going to add a little Velcro to it and call it done. If you get from their site vs eBay it's $167 and well worth it.

You can ignore the finger in the photo...I was exhausted from all day of getting this installed.
Sub is a Sundown Audio E8v.5 and amp is an SAX125.4. I believe I'm running 30-40 watts to each underseat and 350ish to the trunk sub.
I wanted a single amp to run underseat subs and trunk woofer, LC2i and X-over are mounted to the bottom side. Wires are run through holes drilled in the sides.

The ported sub enclosure will get redone at some point, just not sure when that will be hence the duct tape holding the port together. I had tried a sealed sub before but just didn't suit my taste. I'm pretty happy with it as it is now.

I'm loving the use of the Clamp Meter to check if the power cable is up to the job

My first time using this amp, some what curious what kind of power it would put out. (I know Sundown stuff so I pretty much knew it would do rated power)
I also had an idea where my previous setup was power wise so made it easy to match the output when I swapped in the new amp.
Compared to what I had on the underseat woofers before(ppi600.2) there is a definite sound difference...It's amazing what a difference a quality amp can make.

Very true.
I now have a Kenwood X801 5 channel amp running my 6 speaker system via an ISO extension lead running from the headunit to the boot and it made a huuuuge difference. I think I will update the front door speakers and maybe add tweeters, but that's all it really needs.

Isn't that with the base radio? If so the amp contained in that head unit probably runs no more than 10 watts/ch. The Kenwood wouldn't do much for the hi-fi radio, if anything, let alone the Harmon.

A shot of my two amps and a crossover, and then a shot of my DSP and Mobridge in the left side cubby hole.

I'm going to be installing an amp in the underneath cubby in the near future.

Any recommendations how/where to run the main power line from the battery?

I'd prefer not to drill through the bottom of the trunk for fear of rust in the future. Any alternative locations to run the wire?

If drilling is a must, where is the best place to do so?

Pics would be greatly appreciated!

No need to drill. I bought some flexible conduit to protect the cable from the battery and ran it under the carpet to the amp.

Not sure about Technic, but you can buy a FAKRA cable with ISO connectors to run the speaker feeds from.

I ordered the harness from Technic's website about 1 month ago and received it in the mail last week, so yes.

However I think Technic is no longer providing any advice/support whatsoever.

The package I received had the harness & two loose connectors only. No wiring diagram, no instructions, nothing else. I tried PM'ing Technic's account on here, didn't work. So I sent a message to his website where I bought the harness from asking for a wiring diagram, but received no reply.

A little frustrating because I want to both add a subwoofer and have an amp power the under-seat woofers which I know can be done with his harness, but I guess I'll have to figure it out trial and error......
