M Performance Carbon Trim Set

These are now available for under £450 so was thinking of doing this mod, however I have always been put off by the embroidered BMW M Performance lettering and the alcantara.
So for those who have this interior what are your thoughts and is it hard to keep the alcantara fabric clean

Is this one?

I think it looks bloody awesome, wouldn't worry about the alcantara unless you're one to pop a can of fizz in a "devil may care" fashion on a regular basis.

The embroidered lettering looks a bit amateur on the alcantara dash panel and was one of the things that put me off getting the trim kit.

I fitted the M alcantara handbrake boot , shifter surround and armrest lid and even after just eight weeks , and 500 miles, the armrest cover is showing a slight difference in surface finish where my elbow rests.

I haven`t tried cleaning it yet but it does seem to attract / retain the dust much more than the original trim did, it does look nice though.

I'd get the glossy carbon fibre trim from the M3 myself, straight swap out and for me better looking than the dull stuff.

The vast majority of carbon fibre is the shiny glossy type. Nothing wrong with it. But the open weave carbon fibre in the m performance kit is a bit different. That makes it a bit less common and I prefer the look and feel.

For me the m performance kit with alcantara is the way to go.

UKF30 makes it with real carbon fibre sheets and then lacquering.

Decided to try the performance carbon trim with my existing black gloss trim.

Not sure really so may have to purchase the remainder.

I love mine. I have every piece available including the steering wheel. The only thing I have seen is the m colors faded. I just bought a set of sharpies and touched them up. Easy.

Love the carbon trim bits but not keen on the alcantara bits. Thought the streering wheel in that video looked particularly tacky.

I think I could live with the alcantara having fitted the gear surround but not the embroidered BMW M Performance lettering. I wonder if its possible to get the main dash trim in plain matt carbon (No alcantara) to match the remainder of the trim pieces.
