End of warranty check

I suppose a few of you will start receiving these letters - I got mine a few weeks ago and dropped the car today.

They said there is a collar in the exhaust system that will be replaced under warranty. Break fluid change too as part of the service inclusive and they will do the first MOT - I suspect I will get some tyre warnings, planning to check the alignment soon anyway - will report their findings.

Yeah, the car has service inclusive but they will also go through the end of warranty checks.

Is this something that should / will be done on all the 320d F34s?

The mechanic said the collar was done under BMW instructions for my car - he expanded saying there was nothing wrong with the one I had and that this new one is is just a new version improved specification - the old one went to the bin.

They didn't find anything further that needed to be fixed under warranty, there was a visual inspection of the tyres too and they found them in good order and without any "foreign objects" - but I still need to have the front right checked as it has been loosing pressure for whatever reason.

The car has 15K miles now, the MOT had only one Advisory note saying "exhaust emission too clean no reading recorded"

The break fluid change was part of the service inclusive without any additional charge - all I paid was £52 for the MOT, they cleaned the car nicely inside and outside.

Oh dear it was all going so well up until the point you said you let them clean (scratch) your car

Good news,

I take it you don't do much miles?

The car was VERY dirty - the "scratch" was actually well received

I had mine done last week, and am pondering whether to take on the extended warranty, as it expires next week.

What's the consensus for taking it on? £72.01 per month it works out at...

I would definitely go for the extended warranty - better safe than sorry. Check out the topic of Sushkr:http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1277994

And that's just a sensor...

+ if you ever deicde to sell for whatever reason it will be a big boost to selling your GT.
