Yeah, im sure the B58 wont be far behind. Just wondered if anyone here has had any experience on the car models MHD do offer at the moment.

Brilliant. Thanks

My mates also looked at it for his 135i.
Always handy to have some recommendation.

Ill be waiting to see what feedback is from DMS remap and see if MHD come out with something for B58.

I've had some data back from them and it looks VERY promising.

I will be waiting to see what the forum guinea pig gets first then I'll get mine done.

We will certainly share some graphs and photos after.

Look forward to seeing the difference between a non-mppsk and an mppsk car.

The non-mppsk car has a Remus system so will give a slightly different result to a pure stock car too.

Very interested in this at last! As soon as I’m back from holiday will be calling DMS to book in! Have been following DervTec also with interest but IIRC they are Manchester based so much too far for me to use them. Have had my last few cars mapped by DMS so definitely excited by this!

Nice! Hopefully will be joining you soon with similar figures once back from holiday! How does the mapping work with the MPPSK kit, do the valves stay closed and open in comfort and sport?

Will drop you a PM also.

Impressive figures indeed but just curious as to how they gel with the 430bhp claim for a Stage 1 remap which started this thread? Your gain is roughly 20% which if applied to a standard car's 335bhp would give a figure of "only" around 400bhp.

However, if the only difference between a Stage 1 remap on a standard car and one fitted with the MPPSK is the extra bhp from the exhaust on the latter then 430bhp on a standard car becomes more believable....

The 433 was actually for a car with MPPSK. They've found a number of MPPSK cars are coming in a bit higher than the non MPPSK due to the more free flowing exhaust.

The last 433 car showed 433 post and 365 pre remap.

The car doesn't feel much faster low down but it really is impressive higher up.
The TC light comes on a lot more frequently!

You mention the figures are with the MPPSK , so is the DMS tune is in addition to or replaces the BMW ECU reflash.

If the later is the case and the DMS tune overwrites the BMW one then a Remus , or similar , cat back system may yield similar dyno numbers ?

Yeah would replace it. The mppsk would be more freeflowing than a remus as its straight through with valves open, doubt it makes that much diff though.

The difference is actually noticeable. Mine scored high for their expectations but they said a remus would normally give ~10 less than a MPPSK due to the exhaust.

Not all dynos perform equally, or are set up accurately. In my experience of the same car on 4 dynos, all Dyno Dynamics, (BW Chiptune, DMS, Evolve, SRR) : two gave almost the same results (2bhp difference) - call that the baseline; one gave results at 20bhp below baseline; one gave results 20bhp above baseline.

I'll leave it to your imagination as to which is which.

Either way, the remap on your 440i is giving good figures. The increase on the day, with the same dyno parameters, is what matters.

The thing I like about DMS is their custom remap capabilities and aftercare.

The remap has performed really well and with no reliability issues (fuelling, smooth running, etc). Adjusting the fuelling at a specific rpm range helped to virtually cure the harsh ignition at low rpm and light load which can affect the 30d units.

They have reinstalled the remap after the dealer carried out an unauthorised software update - exactly as they said they would do.

I've been to see them for some assistance with fault-finding and code reading, and they were very helpful.

If they over read by 3% that takes my 360 that BMW claim to 371 which is pretty much what I got that means if it's equal my car would be doing around 430bhp.

Literally read the ECU to get the Configuration Code then write the new map.

If the map is one they already have then its a 10 mins process to write the map plus 20 mins to run on the rolling road to get a power run
