Milwaukee

Just wanted to see if anybody in the forums live in or around Milwaukee and have an F30. We've had our car almost for a month and yet to see an F30 on the road here.

I have a F30 and I am living in Elkhart Lake this summer. Planning on taking the car out on the track during June Sprints this month.

Does anyone know who owns a black 335 with M3/M4 style vented hood? I saw him on Capitol Drive today near Pewaukee. Car looked amazing and it was really fast! Just wanted to know what all mods he had on his car

What’s up, it’s summer time, would love to be able to link up with other F30 owners.

I was heading north on 43 this week in my F36 while following someone in a M550 and wished it was more of us on the highway!

I saw an older generation M5 on i94 yesterday and it looked so good! It looked even smaller than the present gen M3, or maybe the same size.

I never see any classic BMW’s these days. I did see a matte grey M5. Spoke to the owner, he owns Sal’s pizza, cool guy.

If you know any other bimmer owners who get together for cruises/meet ups let me know!

Hoping to get some responses here as there’s more traffic here, didn’t get anything on the F48 forum...
I’ll be moving to Milwaukee later this month and I’m looking for some recommended shops. Here in Boston I’ve had most of my car work done at Northeast Autobahn (Max is awesome guy).

So far I found Milwaukee Motorwerks and Urban Motorworx. Any experience with these shops? Any others I should look at for maintenance and performance part installs?

Thanks!

Have got all my work done at Milwaukee Motorwerks. Started from a simple exhaust install, followed by coilovers, FMIC, charge pipe, rear M-Sport brake calipers. Getting a downpipe installed soon. Everything has been without any issues and the labor rates are more than reasonable. They work on BMWs all the time and also order my parts for the cheapest rate available online. All the other shops I called had way higher labor rates and quoted me unreasonable hours for labor.

I'm here visiting for two weeks or so. I also grew up here (Brown Deer). Can meet up with some of you if you're available to geek out and take some pictures, grab ice cream or something. Years ago lots of us in the Nissan community would have Brat Stop meets.

Glad I saw this! I don’t need any work on my car yet but I just went over the 36k mile mark for free maintenance and I’m sure I’ll need my brakes done in 6 months to a year. I was at the BMW dealer and they quoted me $1800 for pads and rotors 😑. Rather test my luck and do it myself lol.

Would be cool to meet other BMW owners. My schedule is a bit different at the moment, just welcomed our first child last week. If others are free, maybe we can set something up.

Was that just for parts? You can get all 4 StopTech drilled rotors for around $600. Plain Zimmerman for less. Along with pads and labor it will be around $1k-$1100. The dealer will also quote you absurd hours for labor. Also, it's a very easy job if you've the tools.

I'm in the process of moving to a new place right now but I'd probably be up for it if a few of us decide to meet up.

Also, congratulations

You can get pairs of drilled and slotted power stop rotors for around 140 shipped per axel from Amazon. It's even cheaper than that.

If it's a simple pad + rotor install and you have tools I'll help teach/show you. Don't have anything up here at my parents house but it's an extremely easy job.
