Not in the US. I know its weird that all of the PR and Marketing materials for the announce show fog lights, but, there are always certain things that are different between the US and EU version. Another example is that the M emblem above the side vent is omitted in the US. So, yes, the standard equipment says Fog Lights, but, when you add the M Sport package, that deletes the option.

Fogs are only deleted if you have the track handling package from what i've seen. My order says it still has LED fog lights.
And the Digital Dash will be offered here eventually. The literature I read before said that it will be ready this summer, so that's why I think the dealer's comments are aligned with that plan.

Did anyone notice that the newly announced special edition 3 Series include a touchscreen iDrive display? I'm presuming that regular MY18 3ers will get it as well. But I don't believe that the MY18 LCI 4er includes a touch screen, right?

Right. The 2, 3 and 5 now all have touchscreens. Why not the 4??

Maybe this has been the "incompatibility" issue all along for HUD and Digital Dash in that they are only compatible with the newer touch iDrive? Wouldn't surprise me if the cars per the press images (which showed Digital Dash & HUD) had touchscreen all along? Both options are compatible with each other come July builds, so here's hoping!

Here is the press release (in German) about the all the July updates to the entire range
4er is getting the touchscreen from July, all else the same as it already has the iDrive 6. Also RTTI is getting updated for all models from 2013 onwards. https://www.press.bmwgroup.com/deuts...70609DE/385150 |

I started another thread but figured i'd comment in here. My dealer confirmed that the 4 series will get the digital dash beginning in July 2017. This is a screenshot from his internal bulletin.

Has anyone seen an image of the LCI F32, F33 or F36 in Estoril blue with the 704M alloys in Ferric grey, as opposed to Orbit grey which seems to be the norm online?
If so, can you please point me in the right direction. Thanks! |

I like those wheels and would have preferred them over the Orbit greys. But I think the reason that we don't see them is that in the US, they're only available with the Track Package and without the M Sport Package. Most of us combine those two packages, so we're stuck with the Orbits.

We may be saying the same thing. If you want both M Sport and Track Handling, you're forced into the orbit greys, right? I know my dealer was not able to spec the others when ordering both packages.

Yes, I have a 2018 440xi...suspension and handling is nicely improved compared to my 2014 435xi.

I think the 4-series coupe is one of the most beautifully balanced and elegant cars on sale today at any price. The face-list hasn't changed much, but not much needed to be changed. It's still better looking than the competition. The interior could do with some differentiation from the 3 series, but that's about it for me.

2018 BMW 440i - VERY DISAPPOINTED!
Quote:
I took delivery of the 2018 440i, Snapper Rocks Blue. I am very disappointed and dearly miss the 335is twin-clutch I traded in. That was a far, far more complete car. I traded it in because I really wanted a manual one more time. My 335is order was screwed up by the dealer and was twin-clutch instead of a manual! The 440i side vent is now FAKE! No LED foglights either, even though when ordering it shows in the picture and is listed as being part of the specs!! Mirrors do not fold with the key-fob the way the 2017 440i at the dealership did!! No roof-handles either!! They also removed the small panel (I would've stored my wallet in) under the headlight switch!! I feel duped and consider this a case of bait and switch. My trust has been violated to the extreme!! On top of it, the HUD is not visible with polarized sunglasses. Last edited by 335is2011; 07-31-2017 at 01:02 PM.. |
