F31 gone from BMWUSA website
Looks like the F31 EOP has commenced. No more Touring available from BMW for a long while. Time to crack open that bottle of Mad Dog 20/20 and pour one for another fallen wagon.
BMWUSA, why didn't you guys offer a final run of F31 M35i's with the tweaked B48 pushing 302hp/332tq?!

Sad day in Bimmer history....at least for those of us that live on this continent. Good thing I found mine slightly loved.

Wagons rule FTW. I'm not adding another car to the garage until Panamera Turismo 4S.

I have always liked the look of the F31 wagon. It looks classy to my eye. Something that a sophisticated car owner would buy because he wants a car that handles well, but still wants the versatility that comes with a wagon body style. Let's face it, it's a far less common car on the road as well and definitely stands out in a crowd of M3s. . If I had happened upon one at the time in great shape, I would have bought it without hesitation.
I am very happy with my little 328. What a joy to drive. It's a pampered toy that gets driven on dry sunny days and is mostly put away for the winter. However, if there is a clear sunny dry day in Winter and there is no salt on the roads, well I take her out for a spin. It always brings a smile to my face. So far it has been a gem in the reliability department. I have all the service records and with the exception of the two horns replaced under Warranty, nothing has failed on this car. It is an N20 covered under the extended Warranty, my fingers are crossed and I listen to the engine regularly. No rattles and everything works as designed. Seems like the factory workers and the mechanized robots decided, today let's make a really good 328. Last edited by frazervalley; 05-19-2019 at 11:24 PM.. Reason: Oops, changed to F31 |

And that is the reason why as soon on as the drivetrain temps get high enough it spends almost the entire time in Sport or Sport+. There is regular use of the launch control feature as well. So many tears from unsuspecting "faster" car owners. LOL.

I'm sad to see the F31 go, but happy I was able to jump on a VERY well optioned 2018 328d sport wagon in March. It had been sitting on the lot/in the loaner fleet for over 11 months and I was able to get an incredibly good lease deal. I don't want an SUV as I much prefer the driving dynamics of a car, but I do have a 100 lb Golden Doodle that I like to cart around, and he fits in the back perfectly, so it really is a best of both worlds vehicle for me. I'm hoping there is some residual assistance when the lease is up, because I see nothing in the current or upcoming US marketplace that I would want to replace it with. I am very disappointed the touring is no longer coming to our shores, but understand from a business perspective. If only Mercedes didn't lobby for the 25 year import ban here....

Thank you for saying what I was just about to say. Do the wagon guys come on the gran coupe pages and trash your beloved car? What the fuck is a gran coupe anyway? I've always thought it looks douchey but I keep my opinion to myself because others might like it and that's their choice. Gran coupe can suck it

I may consider selling them in the near future. I have another set of wheels I'm getting refinished.
