I think if you saw the two side by side the 4GC would be objectively sleeker and sexier because it is lower and wider than a 3. If you think the 4GC is too tall then you must think the 3 series is even more bloated and awkward.

Curious to see the f30/f36 side by side in real life (not just pictures). I wager they will be each be very distinct. Which is incredible because I personally think the f30 is already a very attractive design.

Karim Habib and his team are hitting all these designs out of the park! It's insane!

If I don't have a CTS-V wagon in the garage to replace the 328, then this will replace it.

The issue is not what the numbers say, it's how the optics play out in real life. The 6 GC appears small. The 4 appears to be big, it's not as well executed as I would have preferred.
I do agree the 6GC appears much smaller than it is. But no way it appears smaller than the 4 is... Sexy lines don't hide all 15" of metal.. It's sleeker and smoother, for sure.

I also think we're all judging the 4GC prematurely. We've seen the beauty of the 6GC (or better yet M6CG) in person, not many of us have seen the 4GC in person yet. I recall thinking the 6GC looked big in pics too, much bigger than it appears in person.

Perfect execution of this car, to me, would be longer and leaner than the 3. That's what the 6 is. Longer than the 5 yet sleeker and sexy as hell. I want something a little bigger, little more "grown up" than my F30, but not as big as a 5 or 6.

I'm liking this, always sort of partial to coupe lines, but not a fan of living with only 2 doors.

lol in this picture, the difference in front end, wheel size, exhaust and stance alone would probably be enough to break my wallet open. Looks a lot sleeker IMO (for the record I'm making fun of your comparison shot and understand you can get these options on an F30 )

Yes, I'm liking it... but in real financial terms, a 428 will cost about the same as a 335 and may even lease for more $ near term - tough choice!

If driving a big barge like the 6GC is wrong, I don't wanna be right!

Seriously though, was at the dealership today getting my car serviced and I sat in a 6 GC for my first time. M6, Gran Coupe, individual car. $145,000. They had to pry me out of it. The only things going through my head at the time was what body parts I can sell to get this car. Take out a second mortgage? Maybe take out some loans against my business name and declare bankruptcy? I have some ideas, but I might need to run them by my attorney first. Lol!

So sweet.

Btw, perspective is important here. I hear folks on other car forums (Mazda and VW for example) talk abut our BMWs the same way I drool over the M6 GC. We all have a lot (of car) to be grateful for.

Ha-ha... right?

Car looks O.K., still wish it would have had the longer wheelbase ...that would have been the coup de grāce.

I'll bet BMW'll charge only about a $1000 more than the equivalent 2 door version.
People aren't going to buy this car if it's $5K more than an F30.
They just won't.

which is funny because all the pics we have linked in this thread still work... also explains why Bimmerpost hasn't featured this thread... clearly still in the blackout period.
