Mission Performance 1/4 Mile Time
Hey guys,
I had a chance to take my X3 M40i to the track with the MP Stage 2 tune installed to see what I can do. Specs. MP Stage 2 Tune 96 Octane 4475 race weight THAT'S IT... no modifications anywhere else - stock intake, stock exhaust, stock wheel, stock tires (All season), etc. This is literally a Tune Only run and nothing else. One mistake I made was arriving with my tank 7/8 full (generally you want to be 1/4 or less for weight savings... Another thing to note is I spun off the line for every run and couldn't get into a 1.7xx 60 foot which would have put me in the 12.2 territory So how did I do? 12.380 @ 110.02 was my best time (fastest tune only record in the world!?) 111.20 was my best MPH 0-60 ~ 4.11 (per my Dragy) Some videos of the X3 beating up on different cars - Big thanks to ALEX at MissionPerformance for creating an amazing tune (28+mpg on my way home too) and can't wait to see what comes next!

The smoothness is exactly like stock. No bucking, no throttle closures, no issues. |

Aside from the Merc (nicely owned by the way ;-) do you think those other two were slipping somewhat? Looks a little wet and I think they're both rwd? Not trying to bust your balls, just curious.

The Camaro had an OK 60' but def. would have beat me if he hooked off the line. Here is the old school car that beat me - https://youtu.be/LwavBT2O_Zg and the WRX that I raced twice - https://youtu.be/U6qWnh1cP10

Nicely done!
The Black, 67 Camaro (car #964) had traction issues, 2.07@ the 60 foot and you could see it spin in the vid. He was quicker and faster than the M40i by half track, but his R/T was so slow (3/4 second after you) we never see him catch you. Then he lifts before the finish line, evident in his 92 MPH trap speed. Yes you could easily gain 2 tenths ET based on that MPH. Simple formula is... 1320 divided by MPH. Example 1320/110 mph = 12.0 et. Keep this coming, I love it! Mine has seen the track, but only as my tow vehicle. Guess I should get mine to the stage beams one of these days ---Bill. BTW... my 1968 Camaro has gone 8.65et @ 160mph on E85 with 14 lbs boost, street legal, 5 speed, clutch car. |

That's damn impressive for nothing but a flash. I bet with a downpipe/intake you could be knocking on the door to 11's in an SUV that still gets darn near 30mpg.

I’m sure intake and dp is 11’s all day. My 60’ could be 1.7 but was spinning so another tenth of the 60’ means 12.1... so def knocking on 11’s here.

Would love a sound clip with the DP! And what DP did you go with?

I'll just make a new post. Got a video to go with it as well. The DP is a ER Catted Ceramic Coated, and the tune is Mission Performance Stage 2. My intake is a K&N drop-in. I got so excited I forgot to snap a picture of it!
