Hi guys,
Is there a site somewhere that shows the various codes and their meaning used by BMW. For example I saw this 420d spec today and I have no idea what any of it means other than guessing its an SE from SEG2 420D Z4GW 4DR AUTO SEG2 4HS Thanks |

For the EU market, is there any option (similar to Track Handling Package in US) that removes the fog lights?
I find the cars without more aggresive, i like the front look alot. I can't find any such option. I wonder if M sport brakes does remove the fog light for better brake cooling. Also, from the pictures posted in forum, i see that all F36 from EU have fog lights. |

Hey guys, I am turning in my 2016 F80 M3 for a 2017 440i X Drive GC and had a few questions as I haven't actually seen the 440i I put the deepest on at all. It is located at a dealer which is about a 12 hour drive away and I am supposed to be heading out in a couple of weeks to leave my M3 and pick up the new vehicle.
I am curious about what my vehicle will exactly look like with the options it is equipped I guess as like I said I haven't seen it and the dealer has it in a compound elsewhere in storage to send me pics/videos. My biggest interest in how it will look like from the front headlights etc because of the package it has. This is Canada so please bear that in mind. Options are the premium essentials pack (not the full - don't care about HUD and stuff but not sure what I am missing out with not having Adaptive Headlights and High Beam Assist), M Performance and M Performance II packs. I purposed picked this one even though they had other various that were actually cheaper with full premium, drivers package and all that because of the M Performance II pack. But I am curious what the headlights look like, does it still have the angel eyes as DRL with the flat bottom LED and then bi-xenon headlight at the night when it's dark? Obviously the circle LED with flat bottom gives the car an updated look so without that I am worried it won't look as good. Anyway, if someone has a similarly equipped 440i xDrive GC (mineral grey or not), I'd like to see some pics please! Thanks for all the help! |

There really is no direct exact competitor for this car because of the hatch and also the starting price is high as no economy versions so that also will limit the volume. The car is less the 185 inches but looks longer than the C series, and 3 series a good thing and sleek which none of the other entry luxury cars do.

Xdrive doesn't hurt. The M is not very comfortable to drive on our roads. I barely drive it as I have other vehicles and it just sits there losing value. I don't track, never have. Feel like a waste of having one when I am not using it to its potential. Basically the only reason is that it is just a 'show-off'. I guess I am getting older and wiser maybe? Never gets driven to its full potential or even half. That all being said, I am still slightly hesitant even though it makes practical and economical sense on all accounts. Supposed to be making the switch next weekend and keep getting double minded. But I know the only reason of being double minded is all superficial, as-in downgrading from M but other than this superficial reason all other signs point towards making the switch for my current needs. |

Its all good. My wife has a 4GC, but she takes my Fiat EV to work and takes advantage the single occupant carpool access and free charging at work. So I get an option to drive her 4GC instead of my M3 since sitting in a M3 in traffic everyday is no fun. Nevertheless, it still gives me a big smile when I start her up in the morning.
