Anyone felt the 3 blink turn signal should have been a 4 blink turn signal?

Just seems that almost always the 3 blinks are over before I have completed the lane change.

Or maybe I need to be more aggressive while changing lanes

Thought you could set how many blinks you wanted in iDrive?

Completely agree...had mine coded to 5 blinks recently and that seems a bit much so 4 should work out perfectly...will need to recode as this is not something you can set via Idrive...

3 is too short, 5 is too much, but 4 would be just right. I gotta be more aggressive in my lane changes now. I wish we could reset how many blinks in idrive, but I think a whole setting just for that would be too detailed.

I like 4. BMW should make it a configurable option with iDrive. BMW should open a LOT to be user configured via iDrive. With everyone wanting so many little things unique for their vehicles, you'd think BMW would make it accessable rather than shade-tree coding or going to the dealer.

As others have said, you can't change the blink count through idrive, but it's easy to change it though coding.

I have it set to 5 and it sounds like Arktctr would like to back it down to 4. We can change it during the next coding session.

I also agree that these kind of things should have been part of the normal UI. Maybe in an advanced menu along with other things that we have to change via coding (TPMS, Mirrors, etc).

4 is a bad luck number. BMW probably avoided it

LOL - they should offer 8 blinks as 8 on the other hand is a good fortune number.

When we signal to change lanes the drivers in the other lane speed up. 1 flash--delivered at time of lane change--does the trick nicely

I want 3.5 blinks.

I'm sorry, I'm just surprised nobody has been "that guy" and said that already .

LoL, sounds like LA. I do a stealth look to see if I could get in the lane, cuz if they see you turn your head they speed up. Then I do the official look over the shoulder hit the turn signal and go. I would need more than 1 blink as I don't jump into the lane that quickly.

hahaha its so obnoxious but that's the way it is...

My wife just keeps the signal on and waits for someone to let her in. Sometimes I feel like I need a Valium when she's driving.

People already don't like BMW drivers. The 3 blink just adds insult to the injury
