Why are they quoting you $2250 for the turbo install? I had my PS2 installed on my n55 which is a lot more difficult for $950.

Don't know. $2500 for turbo, $2250 for install, and $1600 for dyno + custom tune (if i wanted to get a custom tune from them)

pretty expensive.

I just did some math and it appears that they are including the core charge in the install. Someone has to pay that charge to pure. Its the only thing that makes sense.

Guess so but I thought they'd make the process easier. I'd rather order the turbos for 4.1k or whatever and have it installed at a place for ~<$700.

- DAW runs similar times to Pure
- Pure posts 700whp+ dynos
- People still claim DAW is only good for 600whp

C'mon guys. Make it make sense.

Their hp claim is based on the flow rating of the turbo, which they have provided in a few forums. That's more than even pure has provided. And that's the same way any other major turbo manufacturer calculates their turbo's hp ratings.

But these companies do R&D by trial and error, not an elaborate test process. So you're being unrealistic to expect any hyrbid turbo manufacturer to offer some of the detail you're asking. Especially in such a competitive market.

If it's that important to you, get a proper big turbo kit with a proven full frame turbo. A hybrid has always been and will always be the budget choice.

Would it be necessary to replace your injectors and ignition coils @ 42k miles when upgrading your turbos?

I'll be honest, I wanted to go GC+. After seeing a few results with my fueling, I went with a second hand GC and it's been great. GC+ needed more fueling than I have on my set-up. I'm very happy with the GC.

If you want less than 700whp, you don't have to. But people saying the DAW makes less than Pure are completely wrong.

without knowing the size of the turbos we will never know, the pictures i have seen seem to me that pure is the bigger turbo. as of now i believe pure has higher dyno numbers and quicker dragy times. Sean of DAW discredits dynos and the only car i've seen a dyno of was trevors who sells them. the tuners i have talked to all say the pure breathes better and are easier to tune. i have a DAW sitting waiting to go in when i have time but if i knew i could have got a Pure 800 and not wait 6 months i probably would have gone that route. i am not chasing numbers either, 550whp to 600hp and im fine, im 6mt rwd. i just need it to hold up for 30-45 minutes on the track at a clip. most of the people pushing DAW on the FB pages have financial interest in them. only nice on the b58 is the install is a breeze compared to the n54.

Half of the wheel is burried under the housing, but the Pure800 "looks bigger" ??? C'mon guys. This has to be a joke.

If you're saying that you've only seen one dyno then that shows already that you're making a decision without all the information. If you tried to search then you'd find what you're looking for. Plenty of dragys and data from owners show that it performs just like pure, turbosystems, etc. If you truly monitored posts coming into the group or bothered to search for data on their page and elsewhere then you'd see that.

Both turbos are great from what I've seen and many others have seen. At this point it is entirely up to which company you want to give your money to. At first I wanted to run Pure800s but now after seeing data from people running the DAW Turbo, it makes me wanna purchase their turbo instead.
