So the only repair you've needed was the wastegate and the suspension finally showing wear? That's insane. Here I've done tranny fluid every 30k, diff/xfer case every 40k and I thought I was late on maintenance lmao. That's a great testament to the B58. Injectors holding up okay as well? Thanks.

I’ve had my 2016 340xi M-sport for coming up on 3 years here soon. I’m at 68k and been running the JB4 for about 2 years and 18k miles. I changed the plugs at 50k when I added the JB4 just because, no issues with them at the time. The only other maintenance besides oil changes have been tires, the rear brake pads and cabin air filter. Been an awesome car for me so far.

yep all is well....the b58 is bullet proof....prob just gonna hang onto it as a daily beater because its pretty much worthless with the miles. And its in great shape cosmetically inside and out.

no known fueling issues....the car does get 44k fuel treatment when in for service

If you are in the CT area German Auto in Watertown is the best place to go to.

I dont count this one but....
Early on I did have the issue with the pebbles going through the intercooler making the a/c not work ....but since the oem rock guard was installed it has not happened since. This was a fight w/ bmw as 2017+ all came from the factory with rock guards on the intercoolers as far as i know

This is a testament to the motor. Original water pump and gaskets too? Sir you might have a unicorn: an exception to the rule 😂 I pray I have your luck lol. Thanks for sharing with us man.

When would you change the valve cover gasket for our engines along with the water pump? What other gaskets do we need to worry about

I'm 47500. 2018 340i msport. One and only upgrade thus far is the Eventuri Intake. Plan on keeping her for a bit so mods are coming slowly but surely.

Amazing!
You are blazing a trail for the rest of us.

My 340i has just passed 90k miles.
Been running BM3 stage 2+ with VRSF sports cat and TU pump for the last 10k.
I changed the plugs and oil around the same time so will be doing oil again soon.

Is that 10k km? That's about 6,200 miles. I'd get an oil analysis done to see if you need to shorten that interval. Otherwise I recommend shortening that to 6000-8000km

Yeah I'd cut your oil change interval to about half (5k miles) until you get an oil analysis done.

Yeah I'm shortening my intervals to 3,000 - 4,000 miles, especially now that I'm on E50 fuel and upgraded turbo. Also switching to Redline 0W-40 from Castrol on the next oil change as it has a higher viscosity and actually comes with BMW LL-01 cert. Oil analysis said Castrol was just a bit under spec viscosity after 4,500 miles.
